Workbounce was founded in March 2020 by Adam Smith and Rowan Bailey. Their vision: to eliminate institutional knowledge silos and empower sales teams with the information they needed to generate more revenue. How? With an intelligent search platform capable of surfacing the right assets at the right time.
With a prototype product already up and running, we began by developing their strategic narrative—equipping them with a compelling story that framed their target customers, the critical problems that needed solving, the market opportunity, and their vision for the ideal solution.
With this in hand, they quickly closed a $2.7M seed-stage funding round from Index Ventures—arguably Europe’s most prestigious VC.
We capitalised on this momentum with a press push and journalist outreach, securing international coverage from both of our top targets: Sifted and TechCrunch.
To establish brand awareness and credibility amongst our target audience, we launched Commission Accomplished, a B2B podcast that celebrated the human side of Sales. In a series of conversations with C-Suite Sales leaders, we explored the ups-and-downs of their careers, the embarrassing mistakes that almost ended them, and the candid advice they’d offer their younger selves.
As Workbounce’s product continued to develop, we launched guerrilla creative campaigns to showcase the latest features and functionality, including a faux-billboard creative unveiling Workbounce’s Slack integration which generated over 25,000 organic impressions on LinkedIn alone.
In four short years, Workbounce evolved from an intelligent search tool to become a fully-fledged, AI-powered, Voice-of-Consumer platform. In November 2024, the business was acquired by Zoominfo to continue its mission of empowering Sales teams worldwide.
